The endz

Our award winning production about gang violence and a tribute to a murdered friend.

Following the death of one of their friends, in 2021 a group of incredible teenagers from Peckham decided they wanted to tell their own story exposing the reality of youth gang culture today. Together with The Multi-Story Orchestra they created and performed The Endz, which tells the story of two friends torn apart by gang violence through rap, song, and spoken word. This hugely powerful piece combines a classical orchestra with the passion, energy and honesty of its young performers.

It was first performed in Peckham in 2021. It has since been performed at The Southbank Centre where it was described as ‘terrific music theatre’ - The Times, won a Royal Philharmonic Society Award, and was performed by Salzburg Landestheatre in 2025.

“We created this project because we wanted to let people know what our reality is as there is not enough awareness.

As young people we are told that we have the power to change things; but people are still not listening to us.

Nothing changes. This is our way of spreading the word and we hope people will listen.” - Nathaniel Casaclang
