Join musicians from The Multi-Story Orchestra for this free creative workshop led by cellist Abel Selaocoe exploring dance music through the centuries.
We’ll start with French composer Rameau, a rock star of his time writing about a one-eyed monster, through to tango music by Piazzolla, all the way to African gumboot dancing. We will explore this diverse range of music through rhythmic games, melodic and harmonic exploration and creating our own rhythmic African dance piece. A great platform for anyone that wants to explore music in a creative and fun way.
