performing Mozart Divertimento in D, Handel Lascia ch'io pianga and more
Join us for this one-off event in the spectacular setting of Peckham Rye Station’s Old Waiting Room! This incredible Victorian space which has been closed to the public for over 50 years, is currently undergoing restoration and will be open for one night only for a unique Multi-Story Orchestra gala event.
We have some amazing special guests for the evening. Multi-award winning comedian, actor, writer and director, Richard Ayoade, who is best known for playing Moss in The IT Crowd, will be performing with our orchestra’s leader Francesca Barritt. And renowned soprano Kate Royal will be joining us to perform some of Handel’s most famous arias. The evening will also include a performance by the brilliant JD Singers from John Donne Primary School in Peckham, all accompanied by The Multi-Story Orchestra who will also perform Mozart’s enchanting Divertimento in D. And we'll be holding a raffle on the night with the chance to win an exclusive performance with a Multi-Story musician at your home for your friends and family.
The evening includes a free drink on arrival courtesy of the Coal Rooms, who are also offering a 50% discount to all attendees for a pre-show dinner.*
Bringing the space alive with music for the first time, this memorable evening is taking place to raise much-needed funds for the orchestra’s ongoing work at Bold Tendencies and around Peckham. We need to raise around £100,000 every year to keep The Multi-Story Orchestra going. All proceeds raised through the evening’s ticket sales will enable us to continue our summer season at Bold Tendencies and our work with local schools in Peckham.

As well as purchasing a ticket, we would be extremely grateful if you would consider making an additional donation towards our work in Peckham. Just enter the amount you'd like to donate in the 'additional donation' box when purchasing tickets. Thank you!
To give you a bit of an idea of our costs, £25 could pay for the sheet music for our next performance, £100 could pay for a rehearsal session with one of our musicians, and £250 could pay for us to run a workshop in a local school.
With huge thanks to Richard Ayoade, Coal Rooms, Friends of the Old Waiting Room, Benedict O'Looney Architects, Network Rail Property, Kate Royal, John Donne Primary School and Peckham Vision for their support of the event.
There are limited tickets available for this performance so we recommend early booking.
