Remember back in 2011 when we first performed in Peckham? Ever since that inaugural performance of Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring we’ve been wanting to play this monumental work again – and thanks to the amazing team at Selfridges and Bold Tendencies that’s been made possible.
This time you’ll also get your own personal tour of this memorable work with musicians from the Orchestra in a Living Programme Note directed by Fraser Trainer. Everyone then comes together for a full performance of the piece with conductor Christopher Stark.
On 19 + 20 August you can also hear the version for piano duet performed in the intimate setting of the Straw Auditorium by pianists Richard Uttley and Kate Whitley.
